World Youth Day 2011

It's going to be an awesome experience to know that we're all professing the same faith; to really know what it feels like to be a ONE CATHOLIC AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH.

Fools For Christ?

"What am I doing? I look stupid in this costume. How did I get myself into this?"

Ever thought to yourself why you've been subjected to that kind of humiliation? LOL! The answer is simple! We are all fools for Christ!! Amen!!

St Paul in his lifetime was rejected by many and they called him a fool wherever he went. He took the humiliation for Christ just for the sake of the Gospel. But did he ever stop? NO! He kept going on. And because of his great love for Christ, the Gentiles (which is us by the way) have the fullness of the truth! Aren't we lucky and grateful that St Paul was a fool for Christ?

So then my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, STM Lifeline is offering this lifetime course to be Fools for Christ and tonight is the first class! The best part is....it's free registration!!! Come sign up at the Bosco-Goretti Youth Centre @ SS15 (2 floors above Jojo's Kitchen) at 8.30pm. It's gonna be absolutely fun! I'll let you in on a little secret, everyone is eligible if not talented at being fools so why not become fools for Him? If you need any further info, just call Martin @ 012-671 2690.

"People kept poking me and some asking, 'is that Crisabel?'. So memalukan.
Fools for Christ man..."

- Crisabel said this after holding Oprah's enlarged face whilst promoting the STM Lifeline Camp, 2010 -

Are you spending too much time on the Internet?

I saw this article in a news feed and thought it's a pretty good read. Eric Sammons shares his online experience when debating or discussing or even just commenting on Christian issues/values/apologetics. He simply summed it up as "Rules of Engagement for Catholics on the Internet".

  1. Always remember the superiority of the real world over the virtual world.
  2. Your salvation is more important than your involvement on the Internet.
  3. Don't ever say anything on the Internet that you wouldn't say in person.
  4. Don't write anything in anger.
  5. Don't stereotype people.
  6. Take at least one day off a week from the Internet.
  7. Always assume the good intentions of others.
  8. Remember who the real Enemy is.
  9. Remember that God resists the proud.
  10. Don't just go to Catholic sites.

Youth BEC: St Therese of Lisieux

St Therese of Lisieux is a Carmelite nun who is also known as the "Little Flower". Her short life has been an inspiration to many. What she has done, the little deeds and sacrifices that are done in secret proved to be more worthy.

"And your father who sees in secret will repay you"

So come and join us as we share together on St Therese; about her life, her ways, her thoughts and her deeds.

For more info about St Therese of Lisieux, click here.

To find out where we're meeting up, call Martin @ 012-671 2690.

See you guys there!!
